The international scientific seminar Managing and Developing Human Resources 2015 has been organized as one of the events of Faculty of Business Management, University of Economics in Bratislava on the occasion of 75th anniversary of the university establishment. The fundamental pillar of the event is the enhancement of cooperation of Academia and Business practice in the field of Human Resources Management. Therefore, the sem-inar in 2015 has been given subtitle The Academic Bridge to HRM practice focused on main thematic fields of the seminar:
- Contemporary challenges to Human Resources Management,
- Status of HR departments and roles of HR leaders in organizations nowadays,
- Expectations on HR specialists in the context of tendencies in HRM development.
The seminar has been organized within the Scientific Project VEGA 1/0842/13 Flexibility of the workforce as the stability of employees and organization in the context of Lisbon Strategy 2020 and strategy of Europe 2020.
The authors
Ing. Jana Blštáková, PhD. is member of the Department of Management, Faculty of Business Management University of Economics in Bratislava, as professor assistant, presently vice-dean for foreign affairs of the Faculty of Business Management. In scientific and pedagogical area she has been active in the fields of Human Resource Management and related. She teaches courses HRM, Compensation and Benefits, Corporate Culture, Organization of Work. She delivers classes in both, undergraduate and graduate level, in Slovak and English programs.
Prof. Ing. Peter Markovič, PhD. is member of the Department of Corporate Finance, Faculty of Business Management University of Economics in Bratislava, as professor, presently dean of the Faculty of Business Management. In scientific and pedagogical area he has been active in the fields of Corporate Financial Management and related. He teaches courses Financial Engineering, Financial Management and Valuating of Financial Instruments. He delivers classes in all, undergraduate, graduate and doctoral level, in Slovak and German programs.
